Queens' Alanis Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the fourth week of the 2021 season. Queens' Fatima Alanis was named runner of the week.

Alanis, a sophomore from Coahuila, Mexico, finished in first place in the Queen City Invite after a late push propelling her across the finish line with a final time of 17:07.08. Her first place finish was the first of the season and helped the Royals women finish third out of 32 teams.
