The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week, Dec. 22

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Brevard guard Trevon Shaw has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 15-21, the League announced today.

Shaw, a sophomore from Helena Island, S.C., averaged 19.0 points per game and shot 52 percent from the field to lead the Tornados to a pair of wins last week.  He got his week started with 18 points, two rebounds and three assists in Brevard's 76-70 win over Lees-McRae on Dec. 15.  He followed that effort with 20 points on 58 percent shooting to go along with six boards and three assists to lead the Tornados to a 69-67 win over Pfeiffer on Dec. 17.  The honor marks his first Player of the Week plaudit this season.

Also nominated for Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Jerrin Morrison (Catawba) and Sean Morgan (Queens).
