The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, Oct. 27

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate forward Jade Montgomery has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Oct. 20-26, the League announced today.

Montgomery, a senior from Monroe, N.C., kicked in three goals to lift Wingate to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  At Queens on Oct. 22, she pounded in a goal in the 83^rd minute off a Mackenzie Cherniuk assist to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 win.  Three days later at Anderson, Montgomery posted two markers in a 4-0 win over the Trojans.  She connected on a Brooke Howell cross in the 19^th minute and closed out the scoring for the Bulldogs as she took a Kaitlyn Fletcher assist and found the back of the net in the 49^th minute.  The award marks her second Player of the Week plaudit this season.

Also nominated for Women's Soccer Player of the Week: Faith Johannes (Anderson), Lizzie Graham (Brevard), Alayna Morris (Lenoir-Rhyne) and Taylor Lewis (Tusculum).
