WePlayed Sports Players of the Week - Dec. 22

Men's Basketball 

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson forward Osmar Garcia-Araujo has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week six of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today. This is the second straight conference honor for Garcia-Araujo.

Garcia-Araujo, a junior from Sugar Hill, Ga., led the Trojans to wins over Newberry and Lincoln Memorial last week to push Anderson's win streak to 10 to open the season. Against the Wolves, he had 17 points and four rebounds while going 7-of-9 from the floor. Against LMU, Garcia-Araujo had 20 points and seven boards while shooting 7-of-10. For the week, he averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1 steal per game. He shot 73.7 percent from the field and 75 percent from the charity stripe.

Women's Basketball

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial forward Kamil Collier has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week six of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.

Collier, a senior from Nashville, Tenn., recorded her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season in wins against Emory & Henry and Anderson. For the week, she poured in 23.5 points per game and pulled down 13 rebounds per contest while adding 2.5 assists per game. In the win over Emory & Henry, she went for 21 points and 15 boards and followed that up with 26 points and 11 rebounds in the victory over Anderson. For the week, she shot 52.9 percent from the field and made all 10 of her free throw attempts.
