The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Football Players of the Week, Oct. 5

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf  SAC Football Players of the Week for games the fifth week of the season.  Tusculum running back Isaac Robinson was tabbed the Offensive Player of the Week, while Wingate defensive end Andre Foulks was named the Defensive Player of the Week.  Lenoir-Rhyne return man Kristaan Ivory picked up Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Robinson, a sophomore from Palmyra, Va., set a Tusculum single-game record with 250 yards rushing in a 20-0 win over Brevard on Oct. 3.  He found the endzone twice for the Pioneers as he carried the ball a program-best 39 times.  Robinson averaged 6.4 yards per carry, including a long rush of 27 yards.  The previous record for single-game rushing yards dated back 85 years to 1930.  The honor marks Robinson's first Offensive Player of the Week selection this season.

Foulks, a junior from York, S.C., turned in a career-best 10 tackles to go along with a pair of tackles for loss in Wingate's 17-12 win over Limestone on Oct. 3.  The Bulldogs currently lead the nation as they are allowing just 5.6 points per game.  The win moved the Bulldogs to 5-0, becoming the lone unbeaten team in the South Atlantic Conference this season.  Foulks' honor is his first Defensive Player of the Week selection this season.

Ivory, a senior from Los Angeles, Calif., posted three returns for 187 yards as No. 22 Lenoir-Rhyne defeated Carson-Newman 52-17 on Oct. 3.  He returned the opening kickoff 74 yards and followed with a 97 yard return for a score.  He averaged 62.3 yards per return in the contest for the Bears to earn his first Special Teams Player of the Week plaudit this season.
