The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Jan. 4

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne guard Jordan Hiatt has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 21-Jan. 3, the League announced today.

Hiatt, a senior from Mount Airy, N.C., put in 15 points, dished out six assists and came away with six rebounds to lead the Bears to an 80-79 overtime win over rival Catawba on Jan. 2.  She connected on a pair of free-throws with 14 seconds left in overtime to give LR a 78-76 advantage to push the Bears to the win.  Hiatt was 5-of-9 from the floor to go along with a 75 percent stroke from downtown.  She also finished the contest with three steals in 41 minutes of action.  Hiatt leads the Bears this season with 19 steals and ranks second on her squad with 23 helpers.  The honor marks her first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
