The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Dec. 21

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson forward Jennifer Monroe has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 14-20, the League announced today.

Monroe, a senior from Clemson, S.C., averaged 21 points per game and 69 percent from the field to lead her squad to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  She got her week started with 21 points on 67 percent from the floor to goal along with 11 rebounds, a steal and one block as No. 17 Anderson defeated Coker 87-57 on Dec. 16.  She followed that effort with 21 points on 10-of-14 from the floor as well as 16 rebounds, one assist, one block and a steal to lift the Trojans to a 64-36 win over Catawba on Dec. 19.  The award marks her second-straight Player of the Week nod.
