The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Feb. 2

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – No. 2 Lincoln Memorial center Keenan Peterson has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 26-Feb. 1, the League announced today.

Peterson, a junior from College Park, Ga., posted back-to-back double-doubles and shot 68 percent from the floor to lead the Railslitters to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  In an 88-49 win over Brevard on Jan. 28, Peterson put in 16 points on 78 percent shooting, to go along with 15 boards.  He also posted three blocked shots and came away with two steals against the Tornados.  Three days later at Coker, Peterson scored 19 points and ripped down 13 rebounds as the Railsplitters downed the Cobras, 62-58.  The honor marks his first Player of the Week nod this season.
