The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week, Oct. 26

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Corey Brown has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Oct. 19-25, the League announced today.

Brown, a junior from Toronto, Ontario, recorded three goals and chipped in two assists as Queens went 2-0 on the week, extending their Conference win-streak to six games. His first goal of the week came against Anderson when the forward found the back nearly two minutes into the match. Later, with two seconds remaining in overtime, Brown scored the golden goal to lift the Royals to the victory. Brown also garnered an assist in the first half. On Oct. 24 against Coker, Brown scored the game-winning goal and provided an assist in Queens' victory over the Cobras. Totaling eight points this week, Brown holds first position in points in the SAC while also placing second in goals and third in assists with eight in both categories. The award is his second Player of the Week plaudit this season.
